And if you click through from that freebsd ports page, you get to an email from Adobe Support shown at http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/96374 which explains "it is clearly stated on the End User License Agreement, the only authorized operating systems where you may download and install Flash Player" - in other words, you don't have a copyright license, which means you can't legally run it on FreeBSD.

cchd, I believe there is a FreeBSD flash port here: http://www.freshports.org/www/linux-flashplugin9/

I've not been able to use Flash since Adobe took over Macromedia five years ago and delicensed it for FreeBSD machines. It was difficult when I looked at your site and it said I needed Flash to view the charts!

I suggest 85% of browsers have operational Flash, not the Macromedia-reported 98%.
